Re: Music piracy guilt

The period of history during which recorded music was a viable way to make money has been incredibly brief, and it is now over. Recordings are so cheap to make and easy to steal that anybody who seriously thinks that the big money is in selling recordings has their head in the sand. Recordings are advertisements for the artist. They pull in listeners who go to their live shows and buy their merch. The laws haven't caught up to reality yet, is all.

So, save up to go to a concert, and don't worry about your mp3s.
