see when you hit 30 your hands start projecting a musical-instrument-repelling electromagnetic field, plus a field that in general repels all tools that could help you develop cool skills

At 40 the instruments melt in your hands. At 50 you gain the automatic hatred from every creative person around you. At 60 (if you live past a decade of intense visceral loathing from the younger around you) the probability of you dying in a horrific instrument-related 'accident' goes from 54% to 87%. At 70 art itself makes active attempts against your life. You are most likely to die from a painting biting you or a piano crushing you. Music will blow your skull open and scatter chunks of your geriatric brain all around you.
