IA, I can't maintain exercising just as a chore. I love swimming but only ever do it in summer, so the kind of exercise I'm best at maintaining is running with my dog because he is the most motivated exercise buddy ever.

I so wish i could go *walking* with our dog, but she isn't the greatest on a leash and we live along a busy road that freaks her out.

Aw poor dog. :( Mine is pretty fine (and is even scared of traffic) except that he weighs 90lbs, so if he decides he wants to go faster, or slower, than me, we have to have words with each other. Oh, and he hates other dogs, and this was once a cause to grind both my knees across the sidewalk. But mostly, he's a fine running buddy, I swear ;_;

Ack!

Annalee is only about sixty pounds, but she's yanked me over once, on grass, fortunately.

I don't trust either of us out in the general public not to get into a fix.
