it's interesting how Ron haters never fail to ship bullshit pairings that you have to twist the characters' personalities into pretzels to justify.

Mostly it's because one fantastic author wrote something that managed to convince me their characterisation and pairing worked together beautifully - which in turn opened my own eyes for those possibilities, too. That goes for all my fandoms, not only HP, and it's been so much more fun for me.
