I agreed with a majority of her points, but her way of expressing her opinions and the things she advocated seemed less progressive to me than simply out of touch with reality (I suppose explaining that and using "combative" would have been a better choice than using "militant", on reflection).

Just tripped off the tongue, didn't it. Lovely strawperson/bogeyman of f!s. Combative is different - though one person's "um I'm not cool with that" can be another person's "fanaticism". I'll give it to you that there are some major interfacing problems with people on the internet of all stripes.
