Tbf though, I think the whole "define meeeeeeeeeeeee" thing is a by-product of not having a fully-developed sense of self yet. IOW, being young.

I remember going through a phase when I was a young adult of "looking for labels" that I could apply to myself. And yes, the resultant "Ingredients list" looked more complicated than the back of a Hostess Twinkie wrapper, but now that I'm older, wiser (I hope so, anyway) and have seen a LOT more of the world and others in it, I recognize that my "Desperately Seeking a Label" phase was, just that, a phase, of my youth/part of growing up. Now, I shudder at the thought of narrowly restricting myself to anything other than: "Human. Dairy-free. May Contain Soy, Wheat, and Nuts."

OTOH when these TumblrTots try and actively APPLY their zillion-and-five labels TO others ... yeah that's A WORLD OF NO.
