Oh! Oh! Don't forget that Charlie X episode where Uhura and Spock were totally flirting - her with her flirtatious banter and singing and him with those quirked up eyebrows and that doohickie instrument.

There were signs in TOS that those two had a regard for each other, and I shipped them when I was a little pre-tweener watching reruns on one of the THREE channels I used to get back in the day.

And honestly, you can be a *insert pretentious voice* strong, independent woman and still want love and sex with equal dedication. Good Lord.

word.

Shit, after 4000 years "You're either a virgin, a whore, or an Amazon! Pick one!" is really getting tiresome.

Geez, it's 2013 already. Being a woman, strong, and independent is still synonymous with devoid of desire? I thought better of F!S.

Quoting because apparently this needs saying more often or people won't get it.

Nichelle Nichols EVEN said that Spock/Uhura were a thing Roddenberry wanted and hinted in some points but he could never develop that at the time because ~racism
I might find those interviews again and also find the one where she said that Scotty/Uhura were just friends and both actors didn't get the thing from TFF even less after it was completely dropped in the sequel...
