Got stung by a wasp today for the first time in years, right under the collar bone. I forgot how much that fucking hurt. Though considering it was a surprisingly big nest I'd stumbled on, I was pretty damn lucky to just get one sting.

Ouch! I hope you feel better soon. I've never been stung myself. I'm kind of paranoid about it, since I don't know if I'm allergic or not to the venom.

That sucks. I don't know what wasp stings feel like but still, it sounds painful. Hope it heals quickly.

Right under the collar bone is apparently a really crappy place to get stung. I ended up having to take some Tylenol because moving my arm made it hurt. It's still sore, but not nearly as bad as it was.

For me it was like a really painful tiny needle injection that burned a little bit, but after that I felt really badly bruised all around where I had been stung.

Stings have always felt very *jolting* to me, really sharp and hard and *OWOWOW*

And then i get all itchy and have these huge, plate-sized hives that hurt like a motherfucker.

It's not making me itch at all for some reason, which is weird because stings usually do make me itch at least a little.

UPDATE: Now that I've mentioned it not itching, it's started to itch.

Already done, which means I need to go to bed soon because Benedryl temporarily kills my ability to think properly.

I actually laughed when it started to itch after typing that though. It was like I reminded it there was something it should be doing.

Oh, man, me too. Benedryl = zombie. It sucks when the pollen is running high and i can't take any until bedtime. Otherwise i nod off mid-sentence.

Yuck! Stepping into a nest sounds fucking scary, I'm really glad you only got stung once and I hope it feels better very soon.

I've been stung by a few (bees? wasps? idr) in the past but it hasn't happened in quite some time.

I got stung in the face a few years back, right next to my eye. It was during a theatre rehearsal on a weekend, so there wasn't any ice around to cool it. It hurt, but other than that nothing happened. Next day: Still... not much, only a bit red. But then my face started swelling when it got close to evening and the next day, that half of my face where the sting was was so badly swollen my eye was almost closed. That was really unpleasant...
