Babs Gordon being a prime example. She went from empowered hero in her own right, as well as survivor of assault and rebuilder of her life, to just another Batman sidekick at the last reboot.

And Marvel is no better, what they did with Jubilee is nothing short of criminal.

Amen to that. I can't have been the only one whose favourite hero was Oracle, right?

Oracle rocked, they took away her role ans gave it to Bruce too. Because obviously Batman wouldn't lower himself to depend on a woman. Making Batman a master hacker just added another layer of Mary Sue to the male wish fulfillment character and threw the female fans under the sleigh. Again.
