The way he treated Neville and Trevor was just...inexcusable. And the fact that people defend it by saying that Snape was upset because Neville's mom could have been killed instead of Lily just makes it worse - what kind of man terrifies and abuses a child and an animal because of something the *bad guy* did?

The way he treated Harry was inexcusable too, but he treated Neville worse and Neville wasn't like Harry in terms of support, honestly, Neville got the short end of the stick for so much of his Hogwarts education.

Neville was treated the way a teacher treated me, save threatening to kill my toad. And... it was awful. If it was because the guy she didn't get had been killed, I would've told her to go screw herself, that didn't excuse the fact that she was verbally abusive.

Nony, I am so, so sorry. You should not have had to go through that! I hope that teacher got fired and in loads of trouble! I also hope you're ok.

Yes to everything about Neville! What infuriates me even more is that some people are defending Snape's actions by saying that it's all fine because he was a victim as well. He's just a poor broken man and we shouldn't be so critical of him.

No, just no to all that logic. It's awful that the man was bullied but there's no excusing the fact that Snape is flat out horrible for using a position of power to bully children. A better man would put an end to that cycle of abuse, unlike him who just ended up repeating it.
