WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

fuck you.

you deserve the shit heaped on you.

I'm glad you're out of it, I'm glad you pulled your life around.

It does not absolve you from having been a fucking douchewaffle.

Sorry. No sympathy here.

Chill. How do you know he or she deserved shit? They said they were in a bad place. They expressed regret. People screw up. I'm sure you've done shitty things too.

So would you really not give two fucks if someone who is shitty realizes they're shitty and turn their lives around? You don't think they deserve a fair chance going forward? Not with the people they've hurt necessarily, but with life in general. If you're going to continue to hold spite and hate for them for the rest of their lives despite them realizing what they did and fixing it, you have kind of become the bad guy, too.

I want evil and hate and douchey behavior to go away, not persist. I don't like it when people are miserable. If someone who is good at making people miserable learns to not be good at it, the world has become a better place. I'm not saying they deserve a gold star, because they did the right thing and what was expected of them, not some heroic above-and-beyond thing, but they did do the right thing and they are no longer sowing seeds of misery into the world like they were before...are you?

People who learn that there is forgiveness on the other side might become better people. People who learn that there is no way to escape from their past mistakes, that the world will always judge and hate them...it's basically saying that we, as imperfect people, are not allowed to make mistakes, because we've damned ourselves in the eyes of others forever. I just don't see how that can be construed as a good thing.
