What other legal recourse do you have against most types of emotional violence?

Oh jeez this :(

Often the bullies are the ones who take advantage of niceness and "weakness" and climb over the backs of others to lift themselves up. So seeing them fail, especially if they lost that support system they savaged, can be a kind of reassurance that the world that hurts you isn't so cruel. Looking into the future.

Still makes me queasy, but not as much as being on the receiving end of emotional abuse.

Yeah that. They are also ferocious rules lawyers and will plead over and over that whatever damage they may have left in their wake, they didn't do anything wrong !
