This might be a shot in the dark as ya'll might be burrowed away clutching your 3DS, but anyone buy it? If so, how are you liking it so far?

Is it a good place to start the SMT series?

I still have to pick up my copy. I'm excited to pick it up. Though, for the most it isn't necessary to play previous SMT series since that aren't technically connected to each other. Though, most of them reference other games.

Though, I only have passing knowledge about SMT series so take my advise with a grain of salt.

I didn't think you had to play other the other games, but I was unsure if this was a good jumping point or not. Glad to know I can jump in!

I just put it in my 3DS (still downloading the, er, DLC) but I did play the demo at E3. The games aren't connected storywise, but you'll see familiar demons and the gameplay is similar to past games. The games get less difficult the more SMTs you play, also I've heard the guide the LE comes with is very, very handy.

I played Persona 3, so from what I've watched, I have recognized some of the demons. I'll make sure to keep the guide handy then :) Thank you! Hope you have fun.

Just be warned it'll play differently than Persona! It'll be way more about battle and demons than everyday life like Persona 3 was. Hope you have fun too! :)

Just bought my copy but I haven't had a chance to play it yet (didn't realize that I'd neglected to charge my 3DS lately). Definitely looking forward to it. My only previous exposure to the SMT series is the two Devil Survivor games, so I'm interested in seeing how this one differs from those.

Hope your 3DS is recharging quickly! I have only played a bit of Devil Survivor, but I have played Persona 3 and a bit of P4. To me, it seems close to P3, but without all the social links.
