As long as it keeps the dollars in the economy instead of going over the Atlantic to Korea then I don't care whether they are real gay or not. We have plenty of Africans here that can dress up like that, we don't need to be propping up Korea's economy.

It fucking does. You want to keep funding terrorists by sending our money to them, or do you want our economy to run smooth and keep us on top? Hell, I don't like the thought of our boys dressing like that, but if it keeps money in the country then public schools ought to start giving out free pantyhose to kids instead of condoms.

I am not an expert, but from observation, crossdressing in Korea has nothing to do with being gay or lesbian or 'pretending' to be gay, etc. JFYI.

(I agree with your sentiment, more gays and lesbians in the music industry getting recognition would be awesome. But that really has nothing to do with Kpop's fondness for crossdressing.)
