I'm moving there for a new, full time job! Super excited. Can anybody tell me anything about the state?

I've been living in SE VA for too long. Muggy summers no longer bother me. I actually missed humidity when I lived in the mountains.

It's historically probably the craziest state in the country but the people are pretty nice and you'll probably enjoy living there!

What kind of thing will you be doing? That's all very exciting.

County/city planner. It's exactly what I wanted to do with my degree!

Historical crazy means modern day tourism!

OMG what part? I grew up in SC. Upstate? Coast? Middle?

Lower Piedmont! 3 hours away from Charleston and 2 hours away from Columbia!

The one area I never lived in! I grew up in upstate, went to college in columbia, and my sister lived in Myrtle Beach.

But yes super muggy weather. Fire ants if you have never seen them!!!! People are fairly friendly.

There's some outstanding seafood in Charleston.

Monsters roam the streets at night. They snatch up stray dogs and joggers, and force them to play poker until the sun rises.

How do you teach a dog to play poker?

I lived in Sumter ages ago...it's even shabbier now. But if you're not going there, can't really give you any advice.

I interviewed with Sumter and didn't get the job. Given everything I've heard since then I'm not sad.

Hot, kind of sticky. Charleston is a beautiful city from what I've seen, and there are a lot of gators.

Charleston was gorgeous. I spent a day there after I had the interview and it was lovely. Mom and Daddy used to live there and now she's over the moon because I've given her an excuse to go back.

Gators: shoes with teeth.
