I think I've finally puzzled out my gender identity after years of confusion, and it's so utterly ridiculous-sounding that even the most devoted non-binary activists would roll their eyes at me. Hell, I'm rolling my eyes at me. If I can't be cis, why can't I at least be something that makes sense? *headdesk*

Are you a were-otter or something?

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Hehe, no. I'd probably have more of a chance of being taken seriously if it were something like that :P

Oh just tell us. You are anon anyway.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Fine. I think I'm bigender between demigirl* and neutrois.

*Has nothing at all to do with a certain concept that can cause wank just by mentioning its name. Let's keep that particular argument out of this thread, thanks....

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
lol. Why are people so obsessed with having a million labels for every bit of their identity. Sometimes I think that humans are the living equivalent to Double-D.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
...So basically you're bigender that leans more towards the female side of things?

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
They have breasts, but also a penis, and they wear one boot and one high heel. And half of their face has a mustache, the other has lipstick. I think.

I'm sometimes okay with being female (not really feeling female but not actively objecting to it either) and other times I wish I were sexless. I never feel remotely male.

Yes, I have a bit of a love affair with labels. I like to feel like my brain can be organized into categories, instead of a free-floating mass of "stuff."

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
For what it's worth, I understand. I personally love labels and keeping things organised and categorised.

And that identity sounds normal to me! Honestly, the more people are open about their identity, the more these terms will come into common use.

Oh man. I think I'm one of those orientation/identity label hypochondriacs. >:/

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
let me guess, you're attracted to public infrastructure or something

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
OP was right. your guess is actually better than the real thing.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
They can't have sexual relations with that bridge until they fall in love with it first

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
I was rolling my eyes that you think anyone cares but then I noticed that some people do and now I'm rolling my eyes at them, too.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
DA

For me it's less 'care' and more 'I'm nosy'. That said, I'm rolling my eyes at the way the OP obvis. wants to tell, but is playing 'coy'.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
I'm rolling my eyes that you care enough to tell us all how much you don't care.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe because you don't actually need those labels? If even you are going to feel it's ridiculous then what's the point?

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
Fuck 'em, and all these people saying labels are meaningless cries for attention. For some people, they're uncomfortable, but for some, they're comforting, so congrats to you for finding what suits you.

And I say this as a cis person who just really likes labels and felt immensely relieved when she found "bisexual" fit.
