Arthur/Morgana? Huh. They don't really spend too much time together after she leaves Camelot. But whatever gets ya off.

As to the finale...I liked it. It made me cry and for the most part made me happy. It was more than I expected. The last couple seasons were a disaster anyway and I'm glad we got at least some of what we wanted.

I skipped over that scene in the finale. I hated what this show did with Morgana's arc and how they tried to make her into a one-note villain but killing her off? That was a step too far.

In my mind, Morgana just waited for Merlin to leave, then magically healed herself and walked the hell out of Camelot because that was one stabbing too many.

I feel slightly dickish for saying this, but by the finale I couldn't stand Morgana so her death didn't move me.

Anyway, if you hate the finale you can just do what the majority of fandom has (probably) done and ignore it. Write your own headcanon and pretend it doesn't exist.

Personally, I enjoyed the series even while being very aware of its faults. That said, the finale was better than I expected and I'm actually pretty happy with it.

I feel you. I know Katie Mcgrath can act without smirking at the camera every second, so why in the world did someone tell her to? It really killed any evilness she was going about.

It sucks because Katie is a gorgeous girl and seems like an extremely likable person; I wanted to enjoy her work, but the show did Morgana no favors. She was so poorly written that I stopped caring about what happened to her. (But to be fair, the whole Mordred situation was just as bad imo.)

Not secret: These guys are my One true Pairing forever. Also Not Secret I haven't watched the series finale yet.

But it's not because I don't want to watch Arthur die... It's because I don't want to watch Morgana die. What the fuck self you were never a Morgana fan.

her death was done so very, very badly. It really made me angry, and I'm not even that big of a fan when it comes to Morgana.
Her death was treated like an after-thought, too little too late, yet she was supposed to be the big evil of the series. I was not happy.

Everything after the Gwen Is Brainwashed And Crazy arc was pretty much awful and the show really needed an extra season to wrap things up better IMO. The ending was rushed as hell, the finale in general was just plain bad, and the fact the Gwen thing was never brought up again was beyond poor writing.

If they'd had another season, I honestly doubt they would've done anything with it. The writers would've just dragged things out even more and still tried to cram the battle into the last couple episodes. They just didn't care.

The last 3 seasons were terrible, the "I'm a magician" reveal came at least one or two seasons too late and the costumes got worse with each episode (did Morgana do her shopping at Hot Topic or the local cheap goth store? Also, panne velvet is never a solution. NEVER.) and what the fuck was up with the Alien thing? I was expecting the Tardis to show up any minute.
