I have never understood the insistence on growing out of things. I'm sorry, if I like something I like it, regardless of what its intended audience is and how old I am. Liking something has nothing to do with you age and everything to do with your individual tastes. Yes a lot of people grow away from things, but that's because their tastes change and there are thousands upon thousands of reasons that can happen. None of them have anything to do with actual age.

Keep loving your childhood heroes, OP, and never feel shame for doing so. They're things you love, and there is nothing wrong with that no matter how old you are.

Basically all of this. Yeah you might drift away from things eventually, but don't ever feel like you can't like something because of your age.
