I honestly do not care so much about minority representation on every show. I mean, I understand it's important that diversity in media exists, but if it's a good show, I'll just as gladly watch a white male sausage fest.

I'm sick of Hetalia fandom's insistance that 'IF IT HAPPENED IN HISTORY, IT'S TOTES CANON!' Seriously, it's a gag show that is *openly* very loose about it's basis in history.

I'm also sick of how people use it to bash rival ships/bash characters.

I am not a big fan of race/genderbending cast memes. Because it implies that actors are interchangeable. That by switching one actor for another you are going to have the same or superior performance. That's now acting works. And every time I see the meme usually with the added tag, "The movie would have been so much better this way," I roll my eyes. Switching out actors is not like switching out batteries in a machine. You are not going to get the same performance by the actor as you would by the machine.

With that said, I wish the casting directors would cast a wider net when choosing actors. The larger the net, the better chance you have with finding the perfect actor for the part.

In short, I am tired of the gender/racebending meme because that's not how acting works. And I only want to see the best performances. Not lousy performances due to trying appease race/genderbending wishers who have no idea what they asking for.

I hate that it's acceptable to tag OT3/threesome fics with pairing tags, especially when one leg of that triad is a fucking rarepair that I ship and can't find fic for.

(I don't actually know if this is an unpopular opinion, but seeing that this appears to be a common convention, I'm gonna gripe about it anyway.)

I loathe mpreg. One of the perks of gay sex is that, y'know, you can't get pregnant. And what, do you bleed from your dick every month? I don't have any complaints of any kind about Supernatural. I'm not saying it's perfect, but supposedly perfect shows tend to bore the shit out of me, and I love it just the way it is. I wish more people would ragequit instead of hanging around to make the same complaints over and over again. There are lots of other shows to watch. LOTS.

I don't ship Will and Hannibal at all but will happily read about them fucking, preferably early in the canon. Maybe not that unpopular, lol.
