My childed coworkers get to say that they're taking care of their family and have it mean their spouse and children - what do I get to say? "I'm taking care of my couplehood"?

How about the obvious, "I am taking care of my wife/husband/partner/SO."

A nuance that gets lost by just say partner/SO/etc is that family implies not only the individual members but also the family structure itself and the relationships within it. So to really be equivalent, OP would need to say "my partner and our relationship," which is pretty awkward.
