Growing up and being an adult doesn't mean not liking things from childhood. It means to simply take responsibility for yourself in a way a child does not. Responsibility and what makes you happy don't have much to do with one another.

I'm an adult and I have old books from childhood in my room. They're far below my reading level and silly but I love them. They hold more than their simplistic stories. They hold memories of me, memories of who I was then and what I wanted to be and so much more.

So you really don't need to get rid of things you love. Trust me. And OP, I'm glad you got through all that to be the capable, balanced, and strong individual you are now. Go you.
