(Anonymous) 2013-07-20 12:55 am (UTC)(link)Yes, it is nice to have the option. But I think that it's worth questioning why it's so socially important that someone should be considered part of a family.
It shouldn't matter whether you're part of a family or not. Being part of a family should be no more important than not being part of one.
