I'd rather have a lot of money than superpowers I'd have to hide. A vast fortune and all the baggage that comes with it, maybe not.

As soon as anyone saw you doing something superhuman (and let's face it, in modern times where there are cell phones with video capabilities everywhere, it's unlikely you'd be able to hide for long), you'd be targeted by every government in the world as either a potential recruit or a huge potential threat. Say goodbye to friends and family because they'll be hounded by people trying to get to you. Whatever country you chose to have citizenship in would be able to use you as political leverage to do practically anything they want: could you imagine the USA with a literal Superman behind it, and what kind of power that would give them? It's a clusterfuck

Wow so glad I wouldn't have, like the speed to outrun a moving bullet and the strength to punch my way into the White House's panic room, then the power of flight to the edge of the atmosphere where I could have a chat with el presidente of just exactly he might be getting home if my F&F aren't left alone right now and by the way I also know where his family live.
