Can't find info on this bug. (Darksiders 2)

I'm playing Darksiders 2 for PC currently and it keeps bugging out on me. A lot of times Death gets stuck in a loop of secondary attacks and he just will not stop! I've tried opening the menues; even quit and go back to the start menue. He still keeps it up when I click "Continue"... On top of that, I've gotten as far as going up against Karkinos and I can't dodge because Death can't get out of attack mode. Help?

I am guilty of buttonmash, so that miiiight have a part in it, plus being raised on console gaming makes me craptacular at PC gaming.
