Yes, is an addiction, but it's still not the same as a substances that causes a physical need for it.

Gambling, sex, and risky behavior lead to an alteration in brain chemistry. These addicts are hooked on pleasurable chemicals their brain releases and in some cases become dependent on risky activities to get ANY feelings of pleasure. How is this not a physical need?

STRAWMAN ARGUMENT!

Not everyone in this thread are saying that addiction means that someone is a horrible person who deserves to die. They're saying that they are not blameless in their addiction.
