Supernatural question

So I'm way behind on the show but was checking out some stuff on Tumblr just for the hell of it and there are A LOT of people who seem to think Dean/Castiel will become canon in the upcoming season.

Has there been any actual evidence of this really happening or is it fans just imagining things as usual?

No evidence. They're basically along the same lines as the people who are positive that Sterek will become canon (though in complete fairness, Dean/Castiel have had way more ho yay than Sterek. But no actual evidence)

Speaking of crazy fans, Jared P. and his wife are having ANOTHER baby. The J2 fans are going to be so livid, hahaha.

Yes and no. The writers have been a little more heavy-handed with the subtext this past season, sufficient that even I, a dedicated non-Destiel-shipping Cas fan, have to acknowledge it was there. But there've been no overt canonical indications that a romantic relationship is imminent; just a few camera shots and coincidences or parallels that were probably put there as a nod to the shippers.

I'd say those are fan shout-outs, little in jokes to those in the know. But if people see those things as a prelude to canon validation, they're destined to be disappointed.
