It's funny and sort of disenheartening how many people immediately focus on those three words and not the entire rest of the post.

If someone either appears to completely not understand a MAJOR and explicitly defined point of their relationship... or worse, chooses to willfully ignore it, sugarcoat it, or make it something it isn't for the sake of forcing them into a romance...

...I don't quite understand what exactly is wrong with losing respect for them as a writer.

It's really just become a big taboo in F!S, as long as those words are in a secret, you'll get a ton of comments saying this find of stuff.

When it all comes down to it, you're losing respect to people over fandom, if it's only because of them not being able understand a major point in 2 characters relationships.

Me...I've only finished the first Pheonix Wright so I don't even know that characters name.

I agree with you, OP. I don't understand why "losing respect" is considered such a major diss in fandom. If you do not grasp basic tenets and concepts such as the more OBVIOUS details in a pairing, then you are an idiot or need to play the game. Either way, I do not respect you as a reputable author.
