But if someone really thinks it's that awful then why would they be in the fandom writing fic for it? I'm not arguing the quality; it isn't a very good anime in terms of animation or in terms of having a coherent or consistent plot. But the real point of the secret seems to be wondering why people can't be bothered to watch a show they love enough to write fic for. Makes sense if you ask me.

Oh yes, I see your point. I was a huge fan once and despite knowing how crappy the anime was, I wanted to watch it.
