5. Fandom needs less excessive lead female hate.

12. That part in the manga really showed a good side to his character... he's one of the few side characters in Naruto that I actually LIKE and feel is deserving of his screentime.

Exactly what I am saying! If he'd been the calm cool and calculating guy he always was, then he'd be a real machine.

He was angry, he had major vendettas, it showed that he was HUMAN. That he actually gave a crap instead of his constant "ZOMGSOTROUBLESUM."

Yeah! The fight had more than just pointless "THEY AM BADGUYS, WE FIGHT NOW" meaning to it. As much as I didn't care for Asuma, it still related to Naruto and the fact that the character continues to grow, rather than deevolve (like Neji and Chouji did) really shows a great pressence in the story.
