This movie freaked me out as a kid. I wouldn't wish for what happened to him to happen to me.

I think, though, all of us have something we wish would come true no matter how much we know it won't. It's something that captured our awe as children and we just can't let it go.

Why? He got to fly a spaceship, have cool pet, see the future, and then hit the reset button at the end.

I know it all got fixed in the end but at the beginning when he can't find his family and finds they all grew up without him really freaked me out. It was just horrifying to me as a kid to not only lose years but when you get sent forward your family isn't even really your family anymore. They're practically strangers.

I don't think I ever finished watching that movie all the way through because it bothered me so much. Then by the time I got older to deal with it I just had little interest.

It's something that captured our awe as children and we just can't let it go. That was the movie Little Monsters for me. I was a little too old to believe in it but I wanted to. I saw the movie right at a time when things in my life were going through a lot of changes and things weren't very good for me or my family. Watching that movie made me forget about the RL stuff and that made me wish the whole monster world in the movie really existed and that what happened to Fred Savage in the movie would happen to me. I haven't thought about it in ages but now that I have, I still kinda wish it were real :)

I glad you had something to dream about, anon. Especially since it helped you as a kid.
