I'M 30+ AND I STILL LOVE BUYING FIGURES :D To be fair, they mostly gather dust on my desk shelf. I mean, I love posing them, but I'll stick them in one pose for like a year until I have to rearrange my desk and/or they finally fall over or something. (Note to makers: more of them *really* need to come with stands.)

(this translates to: anon bought MGRR Raiden's Play Arts Kai last week, and decided to ALSO buy FemShep's PAK because she's been meaning to buy it ALL DAMN YEAR.)

I hope your plumbing gets figured out sooner rather than later. That's awful :( Especially if it's hot and harder to get rid of the smell easily.

We told the landlord he is going to have to hire someone to clean it because we are not. I don't think he understands exactly how bad the problem is (that it is basically raw sewage).

What kind of figures are you buying? :D I buy those Funko Pop ones. I have Bane, Daryl, and Thor.

Your landlord should come down and see/smell how bad it is if he hasn't already, but good on you for asking him to hire someone to do the cleaning.

I think SDCC showed off a bunch of new Funko ones! Although they probably showed off new ones for several toy brands, I'm sure. I bought:

I have older ones too, like an Ezio (Assassin's Creed) and Dante (Devil May Cry) one.. actually I want to get his Play Arts too since I found it locally and all. :D And some silly hockey ones, but clearly my bias is mostly for video game characters, haha.

Woah! Those are some high quality ones. Certainly more than Funko Pop. :P

Yeah but they're also expensive. How I managed to buy four and want another, I have no idea. LOL They're really nice though, and worth it.

You give me hope for my own future of various toy collecting (& hopefully I will have more than a shoddy dresser, nightstand, and television to place mine upon). Have fun!

They're fun to have around your shelves, even if it's just a few. I actually have more in storage, I just have to get off my ass and dive into there. :) And I still want more but I need to pace myself. My best friend has an EPIC My Little Pony collection, so I figure if they can have a few shelves for that, well, why not!

I currently have 34 figures(all of varying sizes) either on my PC or desk right now, I've not even counted in my room, I don't think I'll ever grow out of it. :D

(I kind of want to punt whoever made the Mass Effect toys because OMG Tali and Garrus's guns never stay in place)

Did you buy the little Mass Effect ones or the Play Arts? I only own the Play Arts, but my problem with the Garrus PAK figure was not his rifle, but the fact that he can't stand up at all. Since I got him he sat on a ledge, but I ended up giving him Raiden's display thing since Raiden *can* stand on his own.

(I wish I had that many! I have like... ten or so. But I plan on getting more. :D)

Oh gosh I think they're the little ones? They're only about 6 inches tall I think and have moveable joints and bases so that they don't fall over, but the guns come off too and I nearly always knock into Tali since she's right by my mouse.

Oh man yeah Garrus must be so top heavy if he doesn't have a base, you should totally find somewhere to put him so he's sniping on unsuspecting targets. :3

(A lot of them are LEGO LoTR/Hobbit/Avengers figures or the MLP mini-figs, but I have a large number of bigger models too. I've been collecting toys for as long as I can remember so my collection is near enough 25 years worth :P)

Oooh okay! I never bought those. Part of me wishes I did, they're way cheaper and there's more Mass Effect ones than there are in the Play Arts Kai line LOL.

I had Garrus high up for a while, but I guess a better sniping spot would have been behind one of my speakers or something. But then I'd never see him ;) He's a little top heavy, but the bigger problem is his feet. They're not... entirely flat and it makes balancing him impossible, lol. So he has to sit, lean or steal Raiden's base.

My best friend has MLP mini-figs! In fact he has a shit ton of them, and doubles of several, LOL. I wound up with three of them even though I don't watch the show. Just for fun, I guess. (I'm probably forgetting what else I have, besides my Normandy model. I wish I bought Sovereign but he was pricey. :()

Yeah they're not too badly priced and they've got a pretty huge range, I'm looking to get more of them at some point(also hoping for a fem!Shep and Samara to make it into the line up, c'mooooooon).

Ah yeah his stupid Turian feets, I was thinking of the massive collar he has and how heavy my six inch model of him is. Oooh you make a good point he does need to be seen, meh Raiden can share. :P

The MLP mini-figs are really hard to find over here so I don't have that many but I snap them up whenever I do see them, they're really cute and colourful so I love dotting them all over my desk.(I don't have a Normandy myself but man I would be so tempted by either of those, I bet they're really pretty)

omf I want a Samara ooooone. Miranda doesn't seem very popular, she's the easiest to find and on sale most of the time, lol.

I've tried many times to stand Garrus up on his own. IT'S SO HARD. Hahaha. Even Raiden in his heels is easier to stand up.

They sell the MLP in random packs, right? My BFF gave up buying them in stores - I guess there's a place online that sells the entire cartons, that way you get all of the series. They are cute though. I didn't realize that many ponies actually existed in canon, it's insane, lol.

Yessss need a Samara! I actually want a Miranda one, I just haven't gotten around to getting her yet. But yeah she is not hard to find.

Silly Garrus, he needs a better centre of gravity(and feet) clearly.

Yeah they come in random packs, I can pretty much only get them in the larger supermarkets but there was a Sainsbury's local that had them in for a couple of weeks and every week I would buy a pack but that store just suddenly stopped selling them so I am back to only getting them occasionally now. Hmm I shall have to look online because it would be a hell of a lot easier. Most of the pack ones aren't actually in the cartoon, they just paint the models differently, give them a cute name and voila! More ponies to sell. They're cute though so I don't mind.

oh jeez, I've never understood the appeal of figs before but I was looking at them the other day and some are just so pretty that I finally want to get a couple of my favorite characters. I'm kinda excited.

Yeah I don't have an excessive amount at all, but whenever Square Enix makes a PAK of a character I really love I'm like 'GODDAMNIT' but they're worth it just to have sitting on your desk or whatever. :D

the one that finally sealed the deal for me was the play arts fig of Aerith. the pictures on AmiAmi were just so impressive that I must have it. *w* once I save up, anyways.

yeah most of what I own are Play Arts. their figures have been.. off the mark at times (their Lightning one based on the first FFXIII wasn't so great) but I think they're getting better overall.
