Multiple headcanons

[personal profile] siofrabunnies 2013-07-24 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Does anyone else have multiple or contradictory headcanons for things.

Inspired by the Snape thread above, I realized how many contradictory headcanons I have. Like the one I posted above, about Snape viewing Lily as kind of a saviour-tether and the loss of her friendship pushed him too far. In that headcanon, he didn't have a true real love for Lily, but a desperation for the idea of her.

But I also have this idea that he was just a stupid, illogical teenager, and later able to, well not forgive himself, but reconcile his past or something, and had a real, non-bullied-teenager love, romantic or platonic, that Dumbledore probably orchestrated and it helped him grow, and that's how he's a functional adult and not in St. Mungo's with the Longbottoms after everything.

So, do you have any contradictory or multiple headcanons for anything?

I can never decide whether Finn from Jackie Chan Adventures wants to bang his boss, his teammates, all four, or just everyone, and how in-denial he is about any given one of these.

I am simultaneously CERTAIN that Ducky from NCIS is the 2nd identity taken by Ilya Kuryakin after he had to retire from being a field agent at 40, and POSITIVE that he isn't. Either way he is awesome.

I have multiple theories for what happened to turn Anna from Supernatural into 'Glenn Close.' Did she break out of Heavenly prison or was she released? Did she decide to kill Sam of her own volition or was she 'programmed' to do it by Naomi or someone like her? Was she completely rational or in fact slightly out of her mind? Depends on the day and the mood I'm in.

Yes, but mostly for fandoms where the canon was not all that concerned with internal consistency (in some cases, all the way to "Did anyone write a show bible for this at all?").
