If that's the WORST thing someone is doing in their life to be 'judged' for... I think I'm kind of okay with that.

And look at all the sanctioned RPF. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, any movie ever made about real people, gossip magazines.

I think what bothers most people about RPF is the sexual aspect of some fics. Also yes, there are a certain vocal minority that have no boundaries and are creepy as fuck when it comes to not understanding that shit you write =/= truth or real life, and that whatever fantasies you have inside your own head don't need to be told to the people involved, but those people are the minority.

And honestly, they'd probably be batshit crazy about the real people even if they weren't writing RPF. They're probably the kind of people that would write creepy letters about being the person's one true love. But they're not the majority.

It seems like, as soon as someone famous dies, a biopic can be commissioned and make wild exaggerations (for DRAMA!), but as long as that person's still alive, it's a sacred life that shouldn't be violated (except by cameras, "journalists," crazy fans, etc.).
