Considering the absolute hell Will goes through on the show, yeah, I wouldn't watch it if I were you if you are sensitive to the idea of your estranged brother getting hurt.

OP, it will still be around later if the weirdness ever goes away. Not like you have to watch it right this second if you really want to get into the show at some point.

I got such second-hand embarrassment from the shippers asking questions at comic-con. I hope they don't end up like the Supernatural shippers.

I can't watch Supernatural because the one who was Dean on Gilmore Girls looks too much like my brother and it weirds me out.

That's understandable. I wouldn't want to watch this show if Will reminded me of anyone I knew either.

I get that/ I do not have a brother, but it can really be creepy when someone reminds you of that. Especially a character like Will.

It's okay not to get into something for any reason. I mean, back in high school, most of my friends begged me to watch Supernatural, which I had no interest in, but their constant pleading got me to agree to watch one episode. When I said the episode title, a different friend of mine (an actress) perked up and said, "Oh, I die in that one." And that did it. I was (and still am) adamant...

I get that. I think we all have things we avoid for deeply personal reasons that, in general, have little to do with the thing itself.

Friends keep telling me I'd like Hannibal. But Will (especially when he wears glasses) looks a lot like my estranged brother. It makes it too weird for me to watch.

Secret because: of all possible issues with Hannibal, this is the one I can't handle?

That's a genuine issue though! And like mekkio said, considering what Will goes through on a regular basis I wouldn't recommend it. It's hard to watch for regular viewers, so that association would be rough.

I can't watch Pretty Little Liars because the teacher looks like a guy I know, and I don't even have any awkward history with him, he's just a guy I know.
