Tablets

I'm thinking about getting a tablet, so are there any you've heard good things about? Any you've heard bad things about?

Been happy with my Asus Transformer since I got it. I was leery of Android at first, but there are lots of workarounds for not selling your soul having to sign in and/or create an account with the Evil Empire.

As an owner of both a Kindle Fire and a Nexus 7, I can tell you that the Nexus 7 is the best 7" tablet on the market, and the Kindle Fire is -- well, not the worst, but close enough that comparisons can be made.

I love my Kindle fire but I use it primarily for reading, a few app games and some internet paroosing when I'm not at home. The battery life seems fine to me and I've never had a problem with it but it is the only tablet I've used(bar borrowing my mum's i-pad once or twice) so I don't have anything to compare it too.

I have a Nexus 7 and it's been absolutely fine. The only issue I've found is that it sometimes has problem playing videos, but I'm actually wondering if that's due to me trying to access videos in places with crap internet (I use my laptop at home!).

A lot has to do with what you want to do with the tablet. You might want to ask again tomorrow and put up exactly what it is you want to do with the tablet and get better responses :)
