I feel so good. It's kinda weird because I know it isn't clear to them that we are 100% done but I can't get into it with them anymore. I needed a clean break and there wasn't a way to get it. I tried but nothing short of hurting them would do it and the arguing and passive aggressive stuff was so poisonous that I just stopped responding. Nothing I said about needing space or ending the friendship got through and just made things worse. So now I've cut them out of my life and just having done that makes me feel a million times better than I felt before I made my decision.

Good job, anon. Sucks that sometimes that's what you have to do, but your life should be more peaceful for it. *hugs*

It always sucks when a relationship ends, but cutting ties with a toxic person is always for the best. Glad you are feeling happier for it :)

...You know, I'd assume this was a friend of mine [we've had a rocky time of it lately], but they've said nothing about ending the friendship/needing space. : /
