(Anonymous) 2013-07-25 04:23 am (UTC)(link)I agree with you. It's not even just fame; any career ambition that sounds more like having fun than like work makes my eyebrows raise a bit. Your job is not a cool hobby, or a way to get attention. Besides, there are PLENTY of satisfying, enjoyable jobs out there that aren't being famous and having lots of twitter followers or whatever. You've just got to be willing to find one.
Oh yeah, bonus points for anyone who wants the fame more than the job. Like writers who want their original novel to have a fandom but haven't written and edited a manuscript yet.
