This flick is terrific. David Warner was sexy in a weird way and Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen's offscreen romance totally enhanced their onscreen relationship.

Yep, and Malcolm McDowell played HG Wells as the exact opposite of the characters he usually plays, very understated.

Yes, "understated" and "Malcolm McDowell", not often in the same sentence.

[Picture is the poster of the movie "Time After Time". It features the skyline of a city and a giant hand floating in the sky holding a pocket watch, with a man in a dark suit jumping out of the clock.]

This is still the best of the genre that I have EVER SEEN.

I love this movie! Thanks for reminding me I haven't seen it in far too long, Anon.

I am not quite sure how an undisputed fact ends up as a fandom secret?

Even the misguided who do not agree with you are unlikely to flame you so why should you keep it a secret?

Is there some sort of on-going grudge which is your secret? Because though I agree that 'Time after Time' is indeed the best, how is this related to a fandom, secretive or otherwise? Is there even a fandom for this movie?

Or is it a secret in the sense that you feel too few have seen that movie and are therefore in a position to agree with you? In which case, I think you misunderstood what this comm is about... there are communities who specialize in introducing small fandoms to a wider audience, and this is not it, I don't think?
