"We're told she's aware "there's a good Amanda and a bad Amanda." When she talks about the bad Amanda she almost mimics an exorcism, pulling at her body as if to remove the demon, and even biting herself.

After 10 hours of normal, out of nowhere, her eyes widened, she started to grill the staff about her dog (the one she soaked in gasoline). The staff then told her the dog was safe with her parents, and Amanda went nuts, saying "They'll kill it, just like they tried to kill me." This went on for an hour.

Amanda then got incoherent and so out of control she had to be physically restrained.

And, we're told, Amanda was extensively drug-tested, and everything came up negative, except for marijuana.

And there's this. Initially Amanda was placed with another female patient, but she started berating and insulting her to the point they removed Bynes and put her in a room by herself."

I'm not sure what I just read.

I was really confused, b/c that's not even our favorite Amanda.

I did think it was a really, really swift decline for Amanda Palmer, though.

Reports are coming out that she's schizophrenic, something I suspected before the statement came out. That's one of the worst mental illnesses you can have. It completely distorts your reality and chances are that you'll never fully recover from it. It's a scary disorder. I hope this girl seeks treatment and is prescribed medication immediately.

The medication won't even work if she's smoking marijuana :/

In case people here have not been following the story, Amanda Bynes was caught setting a fire soaked in gasoline in her old neighborhood in California, she set her clothes on fire and possibly (heard conflicting reports) injured her dog as well.

This is enough in California to get her a 5150 because she is considered a danger to herself and others. This means she's currently being hospitalized, 5150s are usually only for a brief period but they are most likely going to hold her for 2 weeks.

The popular theory is that she's schizophrenic since the disease can take shape in your 20s. Either way the girl is ill and in real need of help.

About the dog, I heard she accidentally soaked him too and rushed to clean it off. It seems she's really attached to him.

AYRT. Yes every report I heard about it made it sound like even if she did hurt the dog it wasn't really her intention, but she's also been very much out of it lately so she still posed a danger.

I'm glad the dog is okay, I do feel for the girl.

Yeah, at this point she really is dangerous to herself and pretty much anyone. I really hope it's not schizophrenia, though, I hope it's something more manageable...

Wow, that is really, really sad. I hope someone cares enough to make sure she gets more than two weeks worth of help.

It's quotes from an article on Amanda Bynes, I think. You know, that girl from All That, and then she had her own show on Nickelodeon. She's been acting really insane lately. Going on racist twitter rants and whatnot about random celebrities and the like.
