I think the title speaks for itself!

I kinda just lie prone on my bed and listen to them. I want to listen to them on the bus, but the outside noise makes it hard. I think I need better headphones.

oh man, I hope lots of people answer this because I want to continue with Welcome to Night Vale but everything I do ends up distracting me and I have to go back and relisten to stuff (not exactly a hardship but still).

I was thinking about doing some art while I listen. The only draw back to this idea, is that I suck at drawing, haha.

(I'm on the fourth ep of WtNV and I'm really enjoying it so far :D)

I drew this (safe for work, no spoilers) while listening to Night Vale. XD I'm on...the eighth episode, I believe! And I adore it so much. I really wish I'd listened to everyone earlier. ;3;

I love how Cecil talks about Carlos all the time. He was so upset when Carlos got his hair cut. Him cursing Telly and telling everyone where to find him made me lol.

Hee, thank you! I love everything about Night Vale but I have to admit, Cecil's ridiculous, OTT crush on Carlos has got to be one of my favorite things. ;3; Like, Cecil is creepy...but adorable? The very best mix. And hom telling us all these weird things and being so damn nonchalant about it. I just. Aaaahhhh. So wonderful.

I either:

- lie in bed and listen to them
- have them on in the background while playing some kind of computer game (obviously, it's better if you choose a game that doesn't require sound for this)
- listen to them at work

I've tried to play games, but gaming takes up too much mental energy for me. Listening to interviews might work for that tho.

A significant percentage of the games that I play are repetitive, non-narrative simulation games (think, like, Civilization or Crusader Kings kind of things). So I think it's a lot easier for something like that, because you don't need to keep track of the details, necessarily - there's no narrative evolving from moment to moment, and you have as much time as you need to if you want to plan or make a decision. All you need to do is calculate, or in some cases just keep mindlessly repeating the same actions over and over.

I crochet/knit/stitch, make photoshop gifs, or do mindless video game things (e.g. grinding through the Elite Four over and over again for experience).

I tend do more of the first two than the latter one these days.

while i'm at work. usually, i'm alone and doing monotonous things.
back when i was still in college, i would listen while completing assignments, and i developed his thing where i would associate the subject of my school work with the subject(s) of the podcast(s) i listened to while doing it uvu
i tried the lying in bed thing, but always fell asleep

Clean the house, fold laundry, or ride to work. Oh, and grinding in Etrian Odyssies whenever those games happen to me. Mindless grinding is so much more doable with podcasts imo.

Depends. Sometimes I just listen, other times I embroidery or knit.

i listen to them at work. i can't listen to them when i'm at the computer and planning out my experiments or using my brain in any capacity, but the carrying out of my plans is usually pretty mindless pipetting or a protocol i've run a million times before.

i also listen to it on the way to & from work. :)

I clean or do the dishes or laundry. Something that doesn't require me to think so I can concentrate on the podcast.
