housemate is playing 8 as I sit here on the laptop.

I enjoy the gameplay of the series, but the story has been going downhill, the more characters they add and the more they feel like they have to somehow rewrite the story every time in order to some how make it "new" even though it's not new at the same time. I didn't actually play 7, just watched, and I probably won't play 8 at all.

give me the Warriors Orochi games anytime. they don't take themselves as seriously and the gameplay is still fun.
