Wow, a whole year

Dude, people can meet each other in five minutes and know from that point on that they're going to get married. Just because it takes you five years to make one friend (nothing wrong with that!) doesn't mean that people who make a friend in five minutes don't understand ~true friendships or whatever you are trying to imply, silly bean. Time is subjective for each person. Friendships that have lasted for years and years are not inherently more valid than friendships that have lasted for six months, and i'm sorry for you if you feel otherwise (and this is from someone who PREFERS the long, slow to build, friendships, if only bc i am a very distrusting person...fuck it i'm probably talking to a dog and not a person anyway)
