There's no need to renew the friendship 'cause the friendships was always there. Maya couldn't be there with Nick because of her job, but they were still close friends according to AA4. Did you miss the Maya reference when Nick was hospitalized? He mentioned her if you examine the room.

I'm more annoyed at the thought that someone who was such a prominent character and a huge part of Nick's life may not appear in the game. It's kinda a slap in the face if Pearl is included but Maya isn't , ya know?

He didn't mention her, specifically. He made an allusion that could be either to her or Edgeworth, and based on the fact that the person in question was making him write reports on Steel Samurai episodes...

[Picture is Maya Fey from the videogame series "Ace Attorney". She is a young woman with dark eyes, pale skin and long dark hair tied back. Part of it is tied up on the back of her head, while the rest is tied near the very ends. She has straightly cut forelock/bangs and has a longer lock of hair to each side of her face hanging loose with a large purple bead near the end of each lock. She is wearing a purple sweater and purple wristbands. In the picture, she is standing with her back half-turned to the camera. She is twisting her head back to the camera and smiling and crying happily. It looks like she's about to board a train or bus.]

I desperately want her to make some sort of appearance in Ace Attorney 5, or at the very least be referenced by someone, however insignificantly. I can't believe Phoenix wouldn't renew their friendship after getting his badge back.

I honestly just can't wait for the game. All the info I'm getting on it is garbled and confusing though so most of the time I'm just excitedly confused. I'm clapping but I have no idea what's going on.

So, uh, why wouldn't she be in it? I thought Mia and Pearl were making another appearance.

Yes, I know. (Well, I didn't know the subtitle of the new one, but I knew which order the series was in.) But the use of the past tense to refer to the game that isn't out yet made me wonder which they were referring to, thus the first sentence being a request for clarification.

Honestly I'd be surprised if we did see her, just because by now she should be busy with being the head of Kurain. She's probably got other responsibilities to attend to.

Well, Pearl's been confirmed to show up, and I don't think there's any chance she won't be at least mentioning her Mystic Maya. Holding out hope!

Yeah, Pearl's in one of the blippy bits of the trailers. I will probably be surprised if there isn't a case involving having to at least defend Mystic Maya or something.
