He's 15 years older than her. Which isn't nothing, but it's kind of ... unusual to see a woman in her mid-30s be described as too young for a middle-aged man. She's plenty grown up, you know?

at that point an age difference like that isn't a big deal.

my parents are 11 years apart in age and have been together for 33 years. my dad's a young soul, whereas my mother's always been more mature for her age. they fit really well together.
