It's also incredibly insulting to the people who actually like your "crappy" writing.

It also makes me wonder why they're posting it for public consumption if they really feel it's so terrible. If they don't actually feel it's terrible, they are just lying liars and I have no time for them. Either way, I'd like to see this whole "I hate my writing" thing go away. (Admitting to being nervous or unsure, or wanting to improve, is completely different.)

Exactly. I understand it to a certain degree (I've posted things that I thought were not all that great because I was tired of working on them, but still thought they were good enough that people might enjoy them and since I write for rare pairs I feel like I should post as much fic as possible), and I understand things like 'I've never wrote a fic like this before, I hope people like it'. But constantly saying that you hate your writing and that it's shitty is just fishing for compliments.
