At least the Centaurs thing apparently has credence - in some folklore actual Centaurs did rape, or something. But... a, JKR seems to do variations of mythical creatures anyway, and b, I seriously can't imagine her having Ron and Harry laughing about someone being raped. The only character I ever thought might have been raped was Ariana Dumbledore, and that was because it seemed pretty heavily implied to me.

Nitpick: it was Hermione and Ginny she had laugh when Ron made the joke. That's what negates the idea that JKR meant rape, since Hermione at least is supposed to be a moral compass of sorts in the books and JKR wouldn't have her laugh at something like that,

Moreover, apart from her shocked silence, and her reaction to hearing "hoofsteps" the only thing visibly wrong with Umbridge was messy hair, she was otherwise unscathed. I'd think a centaur gangbang in the woods would leave her with at least a scratch or two, so...
