Yeah I refused to buy his game. I refused to even play it until I heard he'd quit. So I um, "got" a gog.com copy and installed it, played it for a while, and um... it's not that great. :D At all!

Given the positive reviews I've seen for it, it was really boring all things considered. Pretty graphics sure and the mechanics were cool, but you can't build an entire game around basic platforming with barely anything else. Not to mention that it's pretty frustrating how much backtracking and screwing around you have to do to get all the cubes. I got bored as soon as I realised that it was gonna be the whole game.

The art style is pretty much a wholesale knockoff of Cave Story, so no surprise there.

Absolutely love Cave Story! Suddenly seeing the similarities. Only Cave Story had much tighter controls.
