Cheesy shows you love

[personal profile] tamabonotchi 2013-07-29 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm almost finished watching all of G Gundam, and it's been such a great series. It is so incredibly cheesy, yet it's all played very seriously and I can't help but laugh and love it. Ridiculous Gundam mobile suits fighting to the death? Yes please. Schwarz Bruder? Most def.

What cheesy shows do you love (whether in secret or not)?

Young Dracula. It's about the Dracula family, The Count and his son, Vlad and daughter, Ingrid and their man servant, Renfield, living in England. It's cheesy as all out but a ton of fun. Keith Lee Castle, who plays the Count, can chew scenery like it's a six course gourmet meal. Fantastic.

Oh man. I loved G Gundam as a kid and I knew it was cheesy even then but I loved it anyway. Everything was just so overdone. It was great.

Uh, does Teen Wolf count? Because I can never take anything seriously on that show.

I always felt like the only person on earth to like G Gundam. Never finished it (or any of the other Gundam series), but back in the day I had a pretty strong fondness for it.

Cheesy shows are awesome! Let's see: Hawaii 5-0, Legend of the Seeker, Drop Dead Diva (seeing how the season ends before I pick this one up again), and I recently marathoned Teen Wolf so I'll add it to the list.

I love angst and drama, but there's only so much I can take.

That show was beautiful. Forever and always.

it fulfilled my need for camp and funnies and shipping. All was right with the world.

Beyblaaade. For having a silly premise it had a lot of heart, I find.

Legend of the Seeker is SO cheesy but I love it so much. I think it's pretty aware that it's cheesy as hell and I can't help but love it.

I also love Once Upon a Time which definitely has cheesy moments.
