I don't mind ours, they are small and local, and not one of the big, hydra-headed ones that are just getting bigger and bigger and bigger (CAW I'm lookin' atchu), though they are/have been pretty toothless in the face of....stuff....happening in the past.
Having worked both public and private sector, I definitely prefer the public sector, and there are definite perks and bonuses that are worth sticking around for. But I am not (always--been a bit down in the dumps lately due to personal/life-outside-work-stuff) one of those "Show up, punch in, do nothing, punch out," govt workers. Plus, I love my job, so that helps motivate me immensely, LOL.
