I'm pretty sure someone I know is being abused. They live with their family after college because their familly emotionally blacmailed them into staying. They rarely phsyically do anything but to my friend enotionally bully them all the time. My friend does a lot of the work around their house only to be yelled at and they're yelled at for wasting food when they cook when their older sibling gets away with anything and everything and is allowed to eat nearly all the food in the house.

I don't know how but the family is preventing them from leaving and won't let them leave. I have suggested calling the police but the older silbling has a lot of friends in the police force there and it seems like they haven't listened before because the family made themselves look good.

I wwant more than anything to be able to help them out but I'm states away and I can't drive . I'm wondering if maybe just maybe. Calling 911 here and telling them the situation might help. Or calling an abuse hotline. I tried calling an abuse hotline once but they said they were more for relationship abuse.

I just wish more than anything I could help because I can't stand to see someone. I care about so much in so much pain. Is there anything I can do to get them out of the situation?
